Now in its sixth year, Castlepalooza will again take place in the magical Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co. Offaly - where 3,000 lucky ticket holders will enjoy a fun-filled weekend of music, entertainment and art. Not to mention, at least 3 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform, where they will be offered lodging, food, fun and exposure to thousands all weekend.
Described as One of "The top 100 festivals (international" by The Sunday Times, "The cream of the festivals" by The Irish Independent and "The best little music festival in Ireland" by The Sunday Business Post 2010, Castlepalooza promises to live up to and exceed this reputation in 2011.
Nominated for "Best European Festival" in the UK festival awards 2008 and 2009 and making the final shortlist in 2010, Castlepalooza features over 60 bands and DJs over 2 days on 3 stages.
Previous performers include Mercury Rev, the legendary Sister Sledge, Mystery Jets, The Parlotones, Norman Jay, David Kitt, Fionn Regan, Republic of Loose, The Blizzards & Fight Like Apes. No compensation will be provided although selected artists will be offered accommodation in a guesthouse close to the festival site and all transfers, while also gaining access to the green room where drinks & food will be provided all weekend long. As always, part of the ticket proceeds go towards the Charleville Castle restoration project - so everyone is helping to keep this historic landmark alive.
