The Rock and Roll Report

The Rock and Roll Report is broadcast once a month on CKUT FM in Montreal from 10:00pm – 11:00pm EST. The Rock and Roll Report looks to play a wide array of rock and roll that no longer seems to be played on "commercial" rock radio. Whether it's garage, power pop, hard rock, punk, etc. The Rock and Roll Report especially wants to showcase unsigned and indie artists from around the world.



Tired of arguing with people about whether “rock and roll was dead” or whether such and such a band was considered “garage” or “punk” or “psychedelic” or whatever “Nu” genre you could think up? If so, then The Rock and Roll Report is a direct response. The Rock and Roll Report shows that rock and roll is not limited to Clear Channel authorized “modern rock” radio stations or MTV/Much Music, etc. There are literally hundreds of rock and roll radio stations broadcasting right now from all over the planet that you can listen to. There are dozens and dozens of record labels pumping out rock and roll sounds from yesterday and today that are just crying out for you to take a listen to.



Finally, there are the bands. There are hundreds of rock and roll bands playing out there right now that you can actually go see live! They might be playing at a club near you right now and you may not be the wiser. That’s where The Rock and Roll Report steps in. Whether you live in Montreal or Milan, Bangkok or Boston, rock and roll is alive and doing quite well, and all of these people that keep the true spirit of rock and roll alive are waiting for you to join them in the fun.
