/n/nUnder the Radar is a quarterly indie music magazine that covers up and coming and emerging artists, as well as more established bands. Up to 4 tracks from Sonicbids artists will be selected for the Anticipated Albums of 2011 and Best New Artists for 2011 issue. Under the Radar reaches 155,000+ young and hip readers and is distributed throughout North America, Europe and elsewhere.

With a new website and media player launched in late June of 2010, Under the Radar is taking its famous compilation digital. At least 4 Sonicbids artists will be selected by Under the Radar for inclusion in the sampler. The sampler will make free downloads available to its 20,000 unique visitors per month and stickers will be included with 60,000 print issues pointing readers towards the sampler.

Under the Radar mainly covers indie rock and indie pop and is most interested in artists from those genres. Although most of its features are on indie rock bands, Under the Radar also has special subsections in the album reviews section devoted to Americana/alt-country, electronica, hip-hop, jazz, reissues, and singles/EPs. The magazine is also interested in shoegazing, space-rock, and soul groups. The magazine generally does not cover these genres: hardcore, metal, punk, hard rock, pop-punk, mainstream pop, smooth jazz, mainstream country, classical, blues, and new age.

Some core Under the Radar bands include: Beirut, Feist, Tegan and Sara, Modest Mouse, Bjork, Deerhunter, Vampire Weekend, Jens Lekman, The Shins, MGMT, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, Rilo Kiley, Spoon, Interpol, Jarvis Cocker, Band of Horses, Devendra Banhart, Animal Collective, LCD Soundsystem, and many others.

Winter 2011's selected Sonicbids artists include Dignan, Seryn, Martian Horses and Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson.
