TGE's headliners include DJ Shadow, Friendly Fires, Sufjan Stevens, Katy B, Example, The Vaccines, Warpaint and is three nights of the best new music from across the globe. At least 20 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform.

Expecting over 10,000 attendees, TGE showcases over 300 new local and international artists at over 30+ high quality venues in Brighton's city centre. The event promises entertaining interviews, talks and seminars from the industry’s leading professionals.



Submission fees vary depending on artist location:

• Artists based outside of the United States  can submit at No Cost.


• Artists based in the U.S. and Canada must pay a submission fee.

What Selected Artists Receive:

• One member from each band will get a delegates pass (access to the Convention and priority access to the gigs).


• All other band members will each get a TGE Festival pass, which allow access to all of the TGE gigs, Club nights, Alternative Escape and Street gigs.

About the Festival:

Since being founded in 2006, The Great Escape has been firmly established internationally as the leading event for showcasing new music. Taking place in Brighton over 3 days in May, The Great Escape kick starts the festival season, introducing 15,000 music lovers to the key artists and sounds of the year. With over 300 bands playing in 30 venues over 3 days, The Great Escape is the key date in the music calendar. In addition to pre-publicised performances, impromptu street gigs spring up all over town. The Alternative Escape, numerous club nights, label parties, industry showcases, unique collaborations and outdoor gigs all add to the festivities.

The Great Escape Convention:
