Showcasing over 60 Northwest and national bands each year on 4 stages, this year's block party expects more than 30,000 total attendees. CHBP has reserved 2 slots for Sonicbids artists, and all selected artists will be compensated between $200-$1,000.

The Capitol Hill Block Party showcases over 60 Northwest and national bands each year on 4 stages. This year’s block party goes off from July 22nd to the 24th, and expects more than 30,000 total attendees. Two slots are reserved for Sonicbids members. Selected artists will receive $200 - $1,000 each.



CHBP’s low ticket price offers the best fans in the country three days of music each summer in Seattle's vibrant and progressive Capitol Hill neighborhood surrounded by all the great amenities you get in the middle of a city. CHBP is all about independent music, culture, thought, and progressive politics. Recent past performers include: MGMT, Sonic Youth, Blonde Redhead, Atmosphere, Yeasayer, Holy F*ck, The Dead Weather, Fleet Foxes, Spoon, Against Me!, The Gossip, Sleater Kinney, Built To Spill, U.S.E, Girl Talk, Vampire Weekend, Pedro The Lion, Dj El Torro, Aqueduct, Reggie Watts, Menomena, Murder City Devils, Helio Sequence, Cave Singers, Devotchka, Jay Reatard, Kimya Dawson and more.



CHBP is looking for a wide range of bands that stray outside the boundaries of commercial rock.



CHBP features raises money for various local non-profits including The Vera Project & KEXP.
