Summary

The Canberra Country Music Festival features 5 stages set on more than 70 hectares at Exhibition Park. At least two Sonicbids acts will be selected – 1 from the United States, 1 from nations other than the United States. Artists will be compensated by way of international airfares and domestic ground travel within Australia, meals, accommodation, and a modest performance fee will be paid./n/nCountry music artists are invited to submit EPKs to perform at the Canberra Country Music Festival & Exhibition, held in Australia’s national capital! This is a chance to escape from winter to the southern hemisphere and develop a new fanbase.



The Canberra Country Music Festival & Exhibition features 5 stages set on more than 70 hectares at Exhibition Park within 10 minutes of the central business district. At least two Sonicbids acts will be Selected – 1 from the United States, 1 from nations other than the United States. The performers must be focused on traditional or contemporary country or bluegrass or Americana genres. Heavy rock, jazz, classical, urban genre artists are not encouraged to submit.



This year's Canberra Country Music Festival & Exhibition is held during 18-20 November 2011, springtime in Australia with warm weather just right for music and good times. The festival provides exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of workshops, food, shopping and children's activities.



The festival celebrates diversity in country music featuring traditional and contemporary on separate stages to accommodate fans and artists alike. Performers in past festivals have included Bill Chambers, Adam Harvey, Jimmy Little as well as international artists such as Danny Mack (Canada), Wasteland (USA) and Pete Galvin (New Zealand).



Artists may be compensated by way of international airfares and domestic ground travel within Australia as well as meals and accommodation (negotiable). A modest performance fee will be paid. Radio interviews will be arranged and artists are encouraged to bring merch to sell to an eager new fanbase. Additional performances at clubs and pubs may also be possible, but not guaranteed.
