Arena Sonica is the longest running non-political independent festival located in Brescia, Italy; one of the fastest growing cities in Italy for independent music. Now in its 11th year, the festival's line-up includes the first European date of the 2011 Polvo tour, the first Italian gig of The Baseball Project (Steve Wynn from Dream Syndicate, Peter Buck from REM, Scott McCaughey, and Linda Pitmon), and more. The festival will also showcase the best of the local and national bands from Italian indie scene.
Selected artists will receive:
- €200 (about $280 US)
- Lodging and hospitality during the event
- Full sound, lights, and backline as needed
Arena Sonica 2011 will be taking place August 2-7, 2011 at the Parco Castelli in Brescia, two hours north of Bologna and 90 minutes east of Milan.
