The Local 269, a premier music venue in the East Village / Lower East Side of New York City, is actively seeking musicians and performance artists for immediate openings for Mondays thru Sundays. There are 40-50 slots available, each month with 4-5 reserved for Sonicbids artists. Set lengths will be 30-60 minutes. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances.

There are 40-50 slots available, each month with 4-5 reserved for Sonicbids artists. Set lengths will be 30-60 minutes. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances.
They ask artists to be able to draw a minimum of 10 people, and 25 people will guarantee good future slots. They provide full backline and an in-house sound engineer. They are looking for local and regional artists, but are open to touring acts as well.
They understand no one wants to play to a dead room and do have a good healthy amount of regulars/locals who will hang for quality music. However ultimately an artist that can draw a certain amount people will be sure not play to a dead room. All Artists are encourged to send posters and press sheets to help venue promote the acts that play their venue.
Genres accepted include: Rock, Alt. Rock, Acoustic Rock, Pop, Blues, Alt. Country and Reggae.
