In the heart of historic Downtown Lancaster, PA, LAUNCH Music Conference and Festival has emerged as burgeoning destination for Musicians and Music Industry professionals to converge, network, perform and more.
By day LAUNCH Music Conference is designed to educate, motivate and move forward the careers of both established and developing artists, as well as provide opportunities for artists to network with peers and industry professionals. By night, LAUNCH Music Festival gives the artists a chance to perform in front of industry pros and thousands of music fans who descend upon Downtown Lancaster to see the wide range of artists perform. In 2011, more than 225 artists performed (of which 101 were Sonicbids artists) on 20 stages scattered throughout a dozen venues all within a 4 block radius.
With more than 12,000 attendees in 2011, LAUNCH provides a rarely paralleled opportunity for exposure in addition to a chance to meet folks who can advise and help any musician's career. LAUNCH has selected 270 Sonicbids artists since 2009, and have guaranteed to select at least 60 Sonicbids bands to perform in 2012. In addition, all submitted artists get free badges for their full band (normally $50), regardless of whether or not they're selected.
Past guests who have come to LAUNCH to impart advice on the attendees have included key professionals from companies such as ICM, The Agency Group, Summerfest (Milwaukee), Dean Guitars, DDrum, DropCards, Music Video Distributors, Ultra Music Publishing, West West Side Music, Outerloop Management, The Artery Foundation, Good Fight Entertainment, More Music Group, Rock Gamer Studios and many more.
Previous performers have included notable acts like: Torche, Lionheart, Dredg, The Duhks, The Pink Spiders, Texas In July, River City Extension and many more.
