Rocky Mountain Folks Festival - Songwriter Showcase 2012

Submit to The Songwriter Showcase, a nationally recognized songwriter competition that takes place during the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. The 21st Annual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival is held August 17-19, 2012 at the scenic Planet Bluegrass Ranch along the banks of the St. Vrain River in Lyons, Colorado.

Ten Sonicbids songwriter finalists will be selected to perform on the festival main stage on Friday, August 17th. Selected artists will be awarded cash and prizes, "in the round" performances in the Wildflower Pavilion and a chance to perform a full set on the festival main stage in 2013. /n/nThe Songwriter Showcase is a nationally recognized songwriter competition that takes place during the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. The competition is open to solo performers who write and perform original music and who are not signed to a major recording or a publishing deal. Acceptable styles include singer-songwriter, Americana, folk, pop, and bluegrass. Entrants will be judged by a panel of industry professionals and contestants are judged on the quality of the song¹s composition, vocal delivery, and overall performance. Finalists also receive an in-the-round performance slot in the Wildflower Pavilion and a camping/festival pass.
