As an event that brings together independent artists and musicians from 5 continents, the theme of "Building Bridges With Music," is not just a phrase, it's an experience that hundreds of musicians and music fans in Japan and abroad have been part of.
KMC connects musicians from different cultures to collaborate on performances, tours and recording projects through events, panel discussions and workshops focusing on music from acoustic, gospel and jazz to rock, rap and reggae. Artists from a wide variety of genres are encouraged to apply to this event.
As a series of not-for-profit events held throughout the year culminating with a music conference in September, KMC provides a forum for independent musicians around the world to network with other musicians and music related companies and organizations and showcase their music to the Japanese market.
