Summary

There are several stops on each leg of Colin Tyler's regional tours this year. As Colin expands to new markets, he would also like to expand his circle of friends. Typically in the Chicago market, shows that Colin is involved with will sell 150+ paid on average. In new markets, it is important to come together with local favorites who are sonically similar to cross fan base. MOTU is looking for bands that would match up with Colin that can draw at least 70-80 people in their home market.

Bands are being sought from the following markets:

  • Bloomington-Normal, IL

  • Champaign, IL

  • Springfield, IL

  • St. Louis, MO

  • Louisville, KY

  • Bloomington, IN

  • Indianapolis,

  • IN Dekalb,

  • IL Davenport,

  • IA Madison, WI

  • Whitewater, WI

  • Milwaukee, WI

  • Chicago, IL

These dates will take place the last week of March through the 2nd week of April and the last week of April though mid-May. Specific dates for specific cities are TBA. They will try and book venues in your local city that are self draw, but this is not always possible. Shows will likely be on a Thursday or Sunday unless you have particular pull with a venue and want to play a weekend show. Bands would likely play 40-50 minute sets and receive a larger porportion of the door.

There's a lot of potential to do gig-swapping with Colin in order to get some gigs and exposure in Chicago. Please check out colintylermusic.com to see if your sound would match well with Colin's. Up to 2 spots per show are available (a 4 band bill will be booked). Colin will be stopping in all the cities you see listed in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri. Please do not apply if you do not regularly play in one of these cities. The idea is to ultimately trade gigs and book a show in Chicago with the selected bands when they come through the Chicago area.
