AgapeFest 2012 Battle of the Bands is an annual competition that is a part of the Agape Music Festival. There is only one performance round in this Battle of the Bands. This happens in the Blackroom on the campus of Greenville College. The bands who move on will then play at AgapeFest on Saturday May 5th. All lyrics must be clean and appropriate for a Christian music listening audience.
This year, the Battle of the Bands is presented by the Christian Festival Association's national talent search. The winner of the AgapeFest 2012 Battle of the Bands will be entered into a national competition to earn an Artist Developmental deal with Word Label Group.
The event is completely organized and operated by students of Greenville College. AgapeFest has been running annually for over 35 years and is held at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, IL. It’s primary goals are to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation through an exciting Christian music ministry, yo provide an experiential learning opportunity for Greenville College students interested in large events planning and concert promotion and to market Greenville College and its exciting Contemporary Christian Music, Music Business, Digital Media, Media Promotions and Public Relations programs.
