WILD THINGS is a woodland party like nothing you will have experienced before: a heart-gliding, soul-leaping gallop through live acts, workshops, music, games, dancing and wild tomfoolery over two days, deep in the woods at our secret location near Headcorn, KENT, an hour south of London.
Selected bands will receive a coach trip from London to play the event. Confirmed acts so far include: The Fuegos, The Amazing Graces, The Button Group, The Ol' Tom Kirbstein Band, The Blind Hearts, and many more.
The woodland gates open at 7pm on Friday evening with live music beginning at 9pm. Parking available (£10 - we want to discourage driving), free camping, toilet facilities and children under 14 can come for free! The evening will see you evolve from ‘Wildling’ to ‘Wild Thing’ with music, storytelling and Scottish ceilidh dancing by the fire.
On Saturday attendees will frolic through the trees in adventures, games, and at workshops with live music all through the day. The day will finish with circus tricks, performances from more live bands, a wild parade and club night with a raving dome playing music into the wee hours... Sunday will be recovery day, breakfast and movies with a coach returning to London at 2pm.
?The fancy dress theme is… WILD. Think gorillas, David Bowie, giant squid, Terry Nutkins…
?This is not one of your corporate WKD-flavoured teen-fests; expect it to be a bit rough around the edges, and all the more exciting for that. And this is a chance to add your own sparkle to the woodland. If you can hula, then bring your hoop! If you can tap dance, bring your shoes! If you can read fortunes, bring your cards! This party is what we make of it, wild things!"
