Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges including John Oates and celebrity judges to be announced. Songs will be judged based on originality, melody, composition and lyrics. The quality of production will not be taken into consideration.
Artists who submit before September 20, 2012 can take advantage of the Early Pricing Special as outlined below:
- Early Pricing Period (Aug 20-Sep 20, 2012)- First song is $15, second and any additional songs are $10 each
- Regular Pricing Period (Sep 21, 2012- Jan 10, 2013)- First song is $20, second song is $15, third and any additional songs are $10 each
Each song submitted must be original work written and performed by the contestant and may not infringe on any copyright. Songs may have multiple co-writers, but only one writer may submit per application. The submitted recording should be a fair representation of how the writer would perform the song live with minimum accompaniment (guitar or piano only). Each song submitted must have both instrumentation and lyrics.
