For 2014, Sonicbids has worked with Noise Pop to reserve a minimum of 5 performance slots for Sonicbids artists. All selected artists will be compensated.
The festival will take place in February and March 2014 and will have events in venues around the city (including The Bottom Of The Hill, Bimbo's, and Great American Music Hall). In addition to the music festival, Noise Pop also includes a film festival, gallery art shows, a craft fair and a music industry conference. Previous performers from Noise Pop include Toro y Moi, Starfucker, DIIV, Amon Tobin, Rogue Wave, The Thermals, Ramona Falls, Blackbird Blackbird, Califone, Built To Spill, Bob Mould, Sleigh Bells, Archers of Loaf, Die Antwoord, Surfer Blood, Cursive, Budos Band, Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, John Vanderslice, Big Freedia, The Dodos, Wye Oak and more.
Noise Pop has hosted the most influential artists of our time including The White Stripes, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, The Flaming Lips, Ted Leo, The Shins, Aesop Rock, Bright Eyes, Wolfmother, Spoon, Peanut Butter Wolf, Yo La Tengo, The Magnetic Fields, Antony and the Johnsons, Built To Spill, Bob Mould, and Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, to name a few.
