The I Got Soul Music Conference (IGSC) was founded by DJ Frances Jaye and Velisa Crayton-Walker of the multi-media company, Neo Soul Café, to support soul music and connect the music to the business. IGSC is a place for industry professionals and up and coming artists to network, experience groundbreaking panel discussions, technology workshops, and unique entertainment. This year’s conference theme is “Where Soul Meets the Biz.”
This three day music conference is being held in Dallas, Texas on June 13 - 15, 2008 and over 1000 people are expected to attend. IGSC is looking for neo soul and R&B artists to showcase at the conference in one of their 5 performance areas.
The 2007 conference was hosted by the Universal/Motown recording artist, Erykah Badu, and honored the work of Stevie Wonder. The 2008 honorees will be announced in April. Hotel Indigo and American Airlines are offering discounts to those attending IGSC.
