WCMA FESTIVAL
The Western Canadian Music Festival is a multi-genre experience where more than 70 of the best acts from western Canada perform at the many live venues in Edmonton over three nights. The festival features the best emerging talent of all genres from British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Showcasing artists playing to receptive audiences and music industry representatives from across Canada and around the world.
Please note that you must have at least 3 songs in your EPK to be considered for the WCMA festival

WESTERN CANADIAN MUSIC AWARDS
The Western Canadian Music Awards honours the outstanding achievement of Western Canadian recording artists over the last year. There are over 20 categories to choose from. Past winners include Nickelback, Ian Tyson, Nelly Furtado, Jann Arden, Bif Naked, Corb Lund and many more! Selected nominees will have the opportunity to perform in front of music industry professionals from North America and the world!
Please note that judges will need to review every song from your album when submitting for a WCMA awards category. Please be sure that your EPK contains the full recording.

In addition to the awards and festival, the WCMAs also offer a conference that offers hands on music and recording workshops as well as innovative seminars and intimate discussions with top music industry professionals. As well, the Industry Awards that honour the people behind the scenes.

About the Western Canadian Music Alliance
The Western Canada Music Alliance Inc. (January 2003) was formed in late 2002 when the Prairie Music Alliance expanded, inviting the Music Industry Associations of BC and the Yukon to join forces in creating a new entity. While the Western Canada Music Week and Awards is a new event, there is a strong sense of history, a legacy of the successes of both Prairie Music Week and the West Coast Music Awards. The vision of developing the infrastructure of a regional music industry is intact and now shared across western Canada.
The five Participating Members of the Western Canadian Music Alliance, Inc are Alberta Music Industry Association (Alberta Music), Saskatchewan Recording Industry Association (SaskMusic), Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association (MARIA), Music BC and Music Yukon.
