Summary

Mayberry meets Woodstock is the best way to describe the Linton Music Festival (LMF). It's small town meets big festival as over 30 artists grace 3 stages over 3 days in the rural Indiana city of Linton (pop. 6,000), home to The Goose Pond, one of Indiana largest wetland preservation projects. This year’s festival will take place August 29th-31st in the shaded confines of Humphrey’s Park in Linton, Indiana. From garage bands to hot independent artists, the music offerings are very diverse with genres ranging from indie rock to bluegrass. Local, regional, and national artists are encouraged to submit.

Last year, over 10,000 people showed up from all over the Midwest to take in the sights and sounds of LMF. Monetary compensation is negotiable, but since this is still a growing festival, artists are generally provided with hospitality and artist gifts bags. Because LMF is a family-friendly event, they do not accept submissions from acts with vulgar or violent musical content and stage performances.

Linton is located in Greene County, a musically rich area with several talented local artists and bands. These musicians take the stage every Labor Day weekend along with bands from all across the United States (LA, Chicago, Louisville, Florida, Oklahoma, and more). Last year's show featured bands like No More Kings, Aranda, Governor Davis and the Blues Ambassadors to name a few.

The best part of the Linton Music Festival is that it is completely free to the public! The festival operates as a non-profit entity that strives to promote the musical arts thanks to grants from the Indiana Arts Commission and Bloomington Arts Council. Receive exposure in front of thousands of potential fans and be part of a great cause at the Linton Music Festival.
