The Lycoming College Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student run organization that provides a wide variety of entertainment for Lycoming College, a liberal arts college in central Pennsylvania. The entertainment is geared towards the whole Lycoming community and falls into a mix of different genres.
CAB typically books between 5-10 artists each semester and they’re now booking for their for the 2008/2009 academic year (September 2008 – April 2009). They are looking for local, regional and national music and non-music (magicians, comedians, hypnotists, etc.) performers for several different on-campus opportunities:
- Magic shows and comedy acts - The College is looking for magicians and comedians who have experience performing for a college audience. Acts will be compensated and upon negotiation, lodging and hospitality will be provided. They typically do not book major national acts for comedy.
- Club Entertainment - CAB is looking for local musicians to come perform on campus. With a capacity of 100 people in their Jack's Corner venue, they are interested in Acoustic, Singer/Songwriter, Folk and other mellow acts for their shows. For larger venues they’re mainly looking for small bands from various genres.
- Major Concerts - They do not accept any EPKs from nationally touring major acts for their yearly major concert. They already work with a middle agent and are not looking to work with anyone new.
- Additional Opportunities – There are several additional performance spots on campus, including the college chapel, with a capacity of 400, and a few function rooms with capacities ranging from 70-100.
Submitting artists will be considered for all on campus opportunities, and Lycoming College CAB will ultimately decide where each artist will perform. Artists will be compensated for their performance with details such as travel, lodging, etc. to be negotiated.
