There is live music at every Rooftop show, and they take great pride in all the amazing musicians that perform alongside their films. Rooftop's partnership with Sound Fix Records highlights the innovative new music being produced in and around New York and brings the best up and coming bands and performers to the rooftops. Rooftop shows a wide variety of films from all over the world and always try to match the music with the appropriate films. They are interested in musicians working in any and all genres: rock, blues, country, metal, R & B, world, folk, electronic, punk, jazz, latin, hip-hop, experimental (you name it). They program everything from established major label bands to singer-songwriters who have never performed anywhere but the NYC subways.
Submissions are considered on a rolling basis. Artists that make earlier submissions will be considered for more of the scheduled dates.
