Summary

‘Slips’ is one of MTV’s biggest new TV commissions. The show, about street racing, will air on MTV’s new channel ‘Viva’, and is hosted by Huey Morgan from The Fun Lovin’ Criminals.

Selected Artists willbe expected to sign a purely non-exclusive synchronisation license, meaning that you retain complete ownership of the music and can license it elsewhere at any time.  All appropriate performance royalties will be paid through artist's Performing Rights Organization (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC). If needs be, successful artists can work with the music supervisor to set up a publishing deal to ensure all royalties are collected on your behalf.

No license fee is payable, as MTV can use EMI, Universal and Sony’s music under blanket licenses. If a soundtrack album is produced, artists selected will receive appropriate royalties for albums sold.

Music submitted can be from any genres. Although tracks with vocals have been used, including Kanye West, Florence and The Machine, Busta Rhymes and others, there is a preference for instrumentals, from the urban genres, of Dubstep, Grime, Bassline, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Psy Trance, Minimal, House, Pop, Drum and Bass and pretty much all
electronic dance music, as well as Filmic, atmospheric scores.
