Some places just seem to hold onto history. For years, top artists like Snoop Dogg, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Outkast and Mariah Carey, have made incredible music in the Penthouse rooms of this legendary studio.
Executive Producer Patrick Shaw and his team pick four great artists to play four songs live for a select audience of industry professional and fans. The whole event is recorded live by Tainted Blue's award winning staff of engineers and producers and passed along to the musicians free of charge.
This show is about community and talent. The series spawned from a conversation between Patrick Shaw and the band members of Belt, who produce the show in partnership with NYC songwriter/booking agent Christina LaRocca and the studio's manager, Jillian Kelleher.
Some of our past performers include: April Smith & the Great Picture Show, Andy Mac, Casey Desmond, Elizabeth & the Catapult, Rachel Platten, Wakey! Wakey!, Bess Rogers, Kid Nap Kin,Belt, Hank & Cupcakes, Mary Brag Sullvan, Clinton Curtis, Caroline Gulde, John Schmitt, Josh McMillan, Christina LaRocca & Heavy Weather, Pie Boys Flat, Matt Singer, Royal Pine, Jeff Jacobsen, Chris Kuffner, Byron Zanos, Nakatomi Plaza, Kill the Camera and many others.
