City Showcase submissions through Sonicbids are open to ALL artists from all over the world and there is at least one slot reserved for a Sonicbids artist from North America, who will be paid $1000. City Showcase will culminate in a series of live events in venues in London's West End including the legendary Borderline./n/nCity Showcase, London's leading festival for new music and fashion attracting international audiences, works with musicians, performers, artists by providing public exposure, advice and mentoring, the crucial contacts that aspiring talent needs and showcasing opportunities. The 2010 City Showcase festival will be held May 5-8 in venues throughout London's West End.



The annual not for profit event that has helped showcase artists, including Keane, Razorlight, Amy Winehouse , Newton Faulkner , Natty, Hot Chip, Scouting for Girls, Sway, Seth Lakeman , N-Dubz, Lady Sovereign and Ray LaMontagne, garnering them all a huge amount of both industry and media attention is launching its biggest ever search for this year's stars.



Keane says about their experience at City Showcase: "It's hard to get anywhere as a band, and the City Showcase gig we played at the Islington Academy in February 2003 was a great opportunity for us to play on a bigger stage than we were used to. At that time we didn't have a record deal, so knowing there was no hope of tour support(!), every decent gig we were offered was a godsend and helped make us a better band."



City Showcase submissions through Sonicbids are open to ALL artists from all over the world and there is at least one slot reserved for a Sonicbids artist from North America. The selected artist will be paid $1000 (half paid upon proof of travel arrangements to Sonicbids, half paid after the performance at City Showcase). Last year City Showcase selected 21 Sonicbids artists. The event covers all types of music from classical to pop, from rock to urban. And all types of performer's from bands to singer songwriters, from solo artists to DJ's.



City Showcase will culminate in a series of live events in venues in London's West End including the legendary Borderline. The event will also host a series of workshops and seminars at The Apple Store, Regent Street, bringing together aspiring talent along with the most influential figures in what is a much reshaped and refreshingly vibrant new music industry.



Please note: Selected artists will be responsible for all associated costs, travel and visas (where required) and must have a valid passport. There will be about one month from the notification date to the start of the festival for selected artists to make travel arrangements (where relevant).
