The winning band will also receive: Roland CB-30 Bass Amplifier, Roland SPD-S Sampling Percussion Pad, one free entry into the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Apple iPod Shuffle for each band member and more.

/n/nEnter your band to win amazing prizes including the opportunity to perform live at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center with the Rockin' Roland Band and record a music video on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. The winner will open for the Rockin' Roland Band on May 8th, and on May 9th record an original music video onboard the Lennon Bus. The winning band will also receive an awesome prize package from Roland and the JLETB and its sponsors.

This is your opportunity to record in the same studio that artists such as the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend and Mos Def. You can either bring a pre-recorded audio track, or record a new version on-board the Bus. Submissions will be reviewed and selection will be made by the staff of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Please note: This opportunity is open to bands with a maximum of five members, and ALL must be currently enrolled in middle school or high school. Applicants are responsible for their own travel/expenses and therefore should be within the following states: MD, VA, DC . The winner will be announced on Friday, April 23.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. Working together with some of the biggest names in music, the Lennon Bus encourages students to play music, write songs, engineer recording sessions and produce video projects using the latest audio, video, and live sound equipment.
