The Levee Breaking plans to select a minimum of one Sonicbids artist. The artists are featured on the site for the duration of the quarter, and in showcase concerts taking place in Seattle.
The Northwest showcase is centered around the Pacific Northwest, but is open to musicians from all regions.
The Online Showcase: The five featured albums will be posted to the Levee Breaking site for the duration of the showcases (from which point they'll be included in the showcase history).
The Physical Showcase: The albums will be featured in listening stations hosted by coffee shops around the Pacific Northwest. At the close of the showcase, author(s) receive 90% of all album sales.
The Showcase Concert: Each quarter we put on a showcase concert with the featured artists, which are podcasted through the site and filmed whenever possible. These are generally free, all-ages concerts. We seek out atypical performance venues that get performers out of bars and in front of diverse all ages crowds. Past showcase concerts have been hosted by: Seattle Art Museum, The Fremont Abbey, The Seattle Weekly's Artopia Festival, Woodshed Studios, Barnes & Noble's West Coast Flagship Performance Venue.

"Yes. Do it Yourself (DIY). Is alive and well. A Girl's heart is breaking for a group that is DIY full force. They are called The Levee Breaking, www.theleveebreaking.com (a reference to an old blue's song). By producing hundreds of concerts (recession priced) and presenting a quarterly showcase, The Levee Breaking seeks to expose Artists."
