IndiePodcasting.com is a service that promotes music from independent artists and record labels using a combination of podcasting technology, syndication, webcasting and viral marketing.
PLEASE NOTE: We are primarily a promotion service. We offer much more than a simple podcast where you'd be posted in a single show. Your promotion will last for one full year and there is a one-time $75 promotion fee if you are accepted for promotion. Please do NOT submit material if you are not willing to pay this fee.
Here are some basics:
- We promote to more than just music fans. While we do target a large audience of 18 to 40 year olds, your music will also be promoted to online radio stations, podcasters, music magazines and e-zines, and various others.
This should offer additional exposure of your music from other sources.
- You'll be placed in our main podcast transmission in the appropriate genre. These podcasts are listed in all the currently popular podcast directories and in other locations throughout the internet.
- Guaranteed rotation in our online radio playlists at Alexa Digital Radio (ADR), our affiliated online radio station, and in their weekly spotlight podcast on iTunes and the web.
- Promotion on "Music 4 Podcasters", which is a podcast sponsored by IndiePodcasting that specifically targets all types of media outlets to help you gain additional exposure. It's posted everywhere, including iTunes.
- A spot on the "Music 4 iPods" (M4I) website and podcast transmissions. Again, this podcast is well promoted throughout the internet and popular with music fans.
- An artist page in all IndiePodcasting.com related artist directories with a photo, short bio, and link to your website. This includes all three websites, www.indiepodcasting.com, www.alexadigitalradio.com, and www.music4ipods.com.
- Promotion through the most popular podcasting/online radio group on the extremely popular community building site MySpace.com. The group currently has over 5700 members and growing. (Visit

- Internet Syndication. We syndicate the information in all our podcasts through numerous podcast and RSS directories, including iTunes. This allows other website owners to add our content, your information, to their website.
That means that your music, website link, and bio could end up appearing on tons of sites across the internet.
- We don't transmit full versions of your music for downloads. Two minute music samples are posted in our podcasts and on the artist pages of IndiePodcasting.com and "Music 4 iPods". We do not transmit full length downloads because we know you want to sell your music. We do stream full versions of your music on our radio station affiliate. But, the station does not offer downloads of the full songs.
