The Canary Islands International Song Contest is an international songwriting and singing contest that began in 2001. Songwriters and Singers may submit their material in the following different categories: Original Ballad or Romantic Song (Song and Interpretation), Original Pop, Rock, World, Dance or Latin Song (Song and Interpretation), Original Instrumental Work, Original Song Lyrics or Poem and Interpretation of Published Songs.
We provide opportunities to exhibit your talent and creations and the venue to compete with other world artists. From the Canary Islands, the Festival promotes all the winners in front of recording companies, music publishers, artist agencies and media outlets. All the finalists' works will be included on the The Canary Islands International Song Contest CD, edited annually by the festival organization. The CD will be sent to Record Companies, Music Publishers, Artists’ Agencies and Media for the promotion of the winners.
All entries will be judged by a panel of music industry professionals from nine countries including Michael Jay, Rafa Sardina and other important producers, songwriters, lyricists, journalists, music publishers from 9 countries (20 Jury members total).
The works of all winners will be sent to Record Companies, Music Publishers, Artists’ Agencies and Media for the promotion of the winners.
Please note: There is a seperate submission package for lyrics and/or poems. Also, to submit an interpretation, you must submit your song as well. There is another seperate 2-song submission package for song and interpretation.
