Somewhere between Nirvana, the Grateful Dead, and some really crappy band, there is Orange Punch Warfare..... Psychedelic mid-west garage pop outta small town,mid-western America, O.P.dub continues their battle against musical mediocrity.
Lovingly referred to as OPDub by their legions of screaming fans, the band consists of Rick(VOCALS/GUITAR), Rob(VOCALS/KEYBOARD), Dennis(DRUMS), Jake(BASS), and Pat(GUITAR). Since forming a little over four years ago, O.P.W. has split their time between bickering, playing gigs and working on their second album, which will be released sometime in 2006. They describe their sound as Post-Impressionist Slop. Their influences include Isis, the Temptations, the Beatles, Tool,Jay Z, Iron Maiden, Public Enemy,Blood Sweat and Tears,KISS,Syd Barrett/Pink Floyd,Talking Heads,Clutch,and the Orb.
SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LAST FOUR YEARS HAVE BEEN INDEPENDANTLY RELEASING A SINGLE,A FULL LENGTH ALBUM,AND A SELF PRODUCED SHORT FILM AND DVD, AS WELL AS FINALLY PLAYING AT MISSISSIPPI NIGHTS IN ST.
