Molson Canadian Rocks presents The Second Annual Rockanagan! From September 25-October 1, 2008, the biggest influx of bands to ever play in the Okanagan Valley in Kelowna, BC at one time will take place.

Because of the success of Rockanagan '07, what began as the Okanagan's very own little music festival will be much bigger in 2008. British Columbia music fans will be able to attend six venues to hear 40 bands during the first weekend of the festival. That's right, 40 bands — 20 musical acts a night — all playing within a three-block walking distance in beautiful downtown Kelowna.

Rockanagan welcomes both Canadian and non-Canadian artists, and original acts of all genres are encouraged to submit. At least half of all performance spots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Stages will focus on acoustic, electric and electronic music. Rockanagan Music War

And that's not only good news for hard-core music lovers. This year, the bands and solo acts have an opportunity to further enhance their careers because they'll play off in the Rockanagan Music War, which will send the best artists from each venue off to a final round. Grand prizes include an automatic spot in the New Music West showcase in Vancouver for the top act of Rockanagan as well as an opportunity to play in front of a panel of record company representatives.

Venues hosting Rockanagan include Sturgeon Hall, Flannigan’s Pub, The Grateful Fed Deli, Doc Willoughby’s, Christopher's Steak and Seafood, and Fintry Queen.
