Summary
The Savannah Urban Arts Festival is an eight-day series of live performances, forums, workshops and film screenings presented as a celebration of the diverse styles of art, music, writing and self-expression that have developed in urban culture. This yearÂ’s festival will be bursting at the seams with art, music, films and more, and feature artists from across the South. The 5th Annual Savannah Urban Arts Festival will take place April 21-28, 2013 in Savannah, GA. The festival staff are look for 8 Sonicbids artists to perform. The event is a non-profit endeavor that seeks to help emerging artists share their creative passions and connect with one another. SUAF features music, film, poetry, dance and more. SUAF brings together artists from across the Southeast to have fun and network with one another. It's about creativity and spreading the love.
There are 10 stages and about 20 artists playing in front of several thousand attendees. There is no compensation but artists will receive gift bags gift cards/discounts for local restaurants, t-shirts etc..
Special guests have included:
Grammy-nominated artist Anthony David, award-winning author & hip hop historian Jeff Chang, and many more.
The Festival is presented by Cricket Wireless and All Walks of Life Inc.
