"Review by Revolution Radio in London England www.revolutionstation.org"

Solutions by T. Roy Taylor.

If you've ever been dragged along on a shopping trip by a girlfriend,
you'll be familiar with that habit women have of continually moving from
one item to the next, then back a few, then on again, then back a few,
then finally ending up with the very first item they looked at. it's a
familiar thread running through the shopping habits of women the world
over & it's a trait we guys inevitably pick up from time to time. It's
an occupational hazard of being a guy. like a pet that adopts the
habits of its master (or in this case mistress) we fall prey to those same
forces of nature.

And so it was in the fall of 2006 while choosing material for my New
Track Showcase program on Revolution Radio. I'd visited the Audiogate web
site with a fairly definite idea in mind of the sort of tracks I was
looking for. Generic Indie tracks, the next Libertines, Fratelli's or
Arctic Monkeys waiting for me come along & discover them.
As I weighed up the choices, I kept finding myself drawn back to an
album that was nothing like what I was looking for. An artist whose style
was barely compatible with the station format never mind being a
featured showcase subject and yet, I couldn't move on, I wanted to hear more.

That I chose the T. Roy Taylor album 'Solutions' & that the track
chosen from it spent no less than 10 weeks in the Revolution Radio top 40 (&
still counting) is now a part of the brief history of our little
station, the qualities that have helped it achieve this are sometimes less
obvious.

To take the tracks in order and give each a paragraph to sum up it's
qualities & weaknesses would be to miss the point of this album entirely.
Describing an album as taking the listener on a musical journey is such
hackneyed old ruse that I won't even go there. Similarly, describing an
album or indeed an artist as eclectic is surely the trademark of a
tired old hack. It is the most overused word in music journalism & merely
indicates to the reader that the writer is too lazy to consider the
various nuances of the subject matter. I'm not a journalist, I'm a DJ & a
music lover. Therefore I want to tell you about the music, not get to my
word count before my next coffee break. That having been said, I will
start with the opening track, not because of its position on the album
but because it was the first T. Roy Taylor track I played.

Mr Cool Demeanor. (Track 1).
From the opening slide guitar it is obvious that this has a quality of
being greater than the sum of its parts. Slide guitar? shouldn't that
be pronounced geetarr, with a southern accent & a mouth full of chewing
tobbaccy? Not a bit of it, this is slide guitar provided by none other
than Robby Kreiger (Blitz Kreiger) legendary guitar slinger of The
Doors. Telling you about the song's theme would be a waste of time. 'A
salutary tale of love lost, realising too late that a woman deserves to
also be a lady...etc. etc. yada yada....
There's much more to this track than some good ol' boy from the sticks
who's come to regret mistreating his ol' lady. It's a modern soft rock
song with a purpose. To entertain, and at the end of the day, that is
what music is supposed to do.

Got a new Life. (Track 8).
Usually a place for filler, but in this case a cool Pop-Rock tune with
crunchy guitar & an up tempo feel that keeps it bouncing along.
Definitely not filler. Good duetting used sparingly keeps the variety without
breaking the rhythm, Even the keyboard is cool sounding, I'm not a fan
of keyboards or their owners, but here is an example of why they should
occasionally be allowed to plug in.. Did I already use the word bouncy?
I like that, it fits, it's no reggae tune, but it has bounce. Could be
a unit shifter.

Venice. (Track 10).
An opening stanza that has shades of the eagles & an ongoing feel of an
early 90's Meatloaf track. In parts I can hear Kenny Loggins, in others
I can hear Don Henly solo. Best thing to do is to listen to it for
yourself, it's not a 'Spot the influence' contest but don't you think that
when a song reminds you of another that you know & like, it's kinda
like a familiar face in a crowd?

Wouldn't Play the Fool. (Track 6).
A dark & brooding intro with low frequency controlled feedback over the
drum & bass lines that immediately had me thinking 'Appetite for
destruction' swiftly followed by some cleanly picked harmonics & we're into
mid 80's U2 territory, Throw in a single note guitar line & the song
develops at its own pace, some note bending & barely crunched guitar that
almost feels like Moody Blues in parts finally gives way to a
simplistic signature line for the pre-chorus. Probably my favourite track of the
album.

Ignition. (Track 3).
Another of my favourites as far as the tune is concerned, but not
necessarily the same for the song. It's a good theme, an inspirational talk

"SOLUTIONS by T. Roy Taylor 5 out of 5 Stars!"

Today I got to listen to T. Roy Taylor's Whole CD " Solutions" it is really some fine work and the guitar sound is amazing. What struck me about the music and lyrics in this CD is that First T. Roy Taylor is a self taught guitarist and you would never know it listening to his CD. Also what I would like to mention about his lyrics is that they are inspiring and give positive messages to motivate. Some of the songs though are just plain fun a good example of that would be Summer Heat and Venice which are two of my favorites. I was really glad to hear a nice mix of both fun as well as motivating music in one CD. So much music these days is about sex, drugs and other things it was refreshing to hear great music void of the above mentioned. If you have not picked up a copy of T. Roy Taylor's album " Solutions" you can get the link by visiting his myspace for the link or you can visit mine I have a link to purchase his CD on my page also.

Thank You,

Bio

Hi, My name is T. Roy Taylor a Native American Cherokee/Tsalagi and Choctaw Indian. I am a Producer, Songwriter, Arranger, Performer, and Businessman. I started listening to music as far back as age four. My grandparents and parents, were country and western fans and listened to all the old greats. Charlie Pride Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Hagard, Patsy Cline, and countless others. But, my musical taste changed when I first heard the BLUES and ROCK N ROLL. I began listening to Blues Artists and Rock bands such as, John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Mountain, Moby Grape, The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton with Cream, Credence Clearwater Revival, , Roy Orbison, The Temptations, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Mountain, Dire Straits, Van Halen, and Stevie Ray Vaughn are just a few of the influences that impressed my TEXAS ROCK playing style.

Starting my first band at age sixteen, on Friday and Saturday nights my band and I were packing out our venues with standing room only! Moving to Los Angeles, I began playing up and down the Coast in Southern California. I am now booking venues for 2008.

My first CD titled, "SOLUTIONS", released December 1, 2006, consists of ten tracks which I wrote, arranged, and produced. During the recording of "SOLUTIONS", the Legendary Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Guitarist of THE DOORS, ROBBY KRIEGER, came into the studio and laid down an electric slide guitar solo on the first track titled, "Mr. Cool Demeanor". Talk about the icing on the cake!
Another GREAT in the music industry by the name of ARTHUR BARROW (Bass guitar player and bandleader for Frank Zappa) graced the album on five of the tracks. Art was the Recording Engineer and Co-Producer for "SOLUTIONS". Art was also responsible for producing Robby Krieger of THE DOORS electric slide guitar track on "Mr. Cool Demeanor". Art was Bass guitar player and bandleader for Frank Zappa and has performed, arranged, or written, for artists such as Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Nina Hagen, Charlie Sexton, The Motels, Oingo Boingo and played all of the instruments, except guitar, on the 1987 Grammy hit "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin from the Top Gun movie soundtrack, starring Tom Cruise.

This 10 song CD with it's TEXAS ROCK sound has the infuluences of the great music of the Rock N Roll past with my fresh new Texas Rock edge of the present, which has now been heard from the airwaves of Hollywood California on radio stations KLAS 89.7 FM, KCLA 99.3 FM (99 Rocks), Sammy Hagar's radio station cabowaboradio, iradiola.com, and recently added to phoenixradio.net based in Ohio, and on REVOLUTION RADIO in London England, which can be found at http://www.revolutionstation.org

I was interviewed by Executive Producer "Sentoria Ice G"on KLAS 89.7 FM in Hollywood, CA in October 2006. She played seven of the ten songs from the SOLUTIONS CD during two separate radio interviews. This was done before my new CD "SOLUTIONS" was released!

On November 13, 2006 an email invited
me to send my songs to Revolution Radio in London England.
