Bio

Originally formed in 2006 under another band name, bassist Dave Martinez & lead guitarist Ismael Martinez rounded out the line up with lead vocalist Zane Latta & drummer Ryan Mccauley through mutual connections. Now after a brief hiatus, the Early Republic is back on the road with brand new material sure to satisfy all listeners. Hailing from Dallas, Texas this four-some cites a wide array of classic musical influences such as Neil Young, ,Tom Petty,The Cure, The Cars, and The Pixies. Early Republic has succeeded in creating a familiar, bass-driven sound that is not only cutting edge, but is extremely memorable and radio-friendly.

Before releasing their first album; the band played shows at familiar DFW venues such as Hailey's, Aardvark, Prophet Bar, The Door among many others in the area. The bands travels include opening up for Hotter Than Hell at Bayfest in Corpus Christi as well as the Frontiers in House of Blues Houston The band was a contestant on FOX's hit reality TV show "The Next Great American Band" making it to the later rounds in Hollywood, CA. With their early success and renewed focus they took a year to concentrate on their record, which was released in February 2009 and was accompanied by a sold out CD Release Show at House of Blues Dallas. EARLY REPUBLIC’s debut album features the hit single “Rescue Me” which, according to Dallas’ KVRK 89.7 POWER FM, became the “most requested song” in the history of their Monday night "All Request Show", after just one day on the playlist. “There’s something very exciting about EARLY REPUBLIC and we're excited to be a part of their success.” said POWER FM Afternoon-Drive Jock / Music Director Drue Mitchell.

On the road, the Early Republic has played with major recording artists like Green River Ordinance, Paper Route, Cruiserweight, and Sounds Under Radio. Early Republic has returned and looks forward to returning to D/FW's best venues, as well as regional shows to showcase their music to any and all that will listen.
