"Tiffany Price Going On USO Military Tour"

GIFT OF SONG BRINGS HEALING MESSAGE OF HOPE AND INSPIRATION IN SALUTE TO U.S. TROOPS ABROAD AND TO FIRST RESPONDERS AT HOME.

Newark, NJ, JANUARY 2009 -- Singer, ASCAP composer, performer, hospital gift shop operator and 2008 Independent Music Award Nominee R&B artist, Tiffany Chen Price, known by the stage name of “Miss RnB Raw” is preparing to embark on a national tour of U.S. military bases to perform her original hit composition “We Wish” -- a song that imparts a message of inspiration and hope for Americans who bravely serve with honor in the U.S. Armed forces as well as for the legions of Police, Fire and Emergency Management Specialists who serve with great dedication and compassion on the Home Front as first responders.

The song is on her debut CD album titled “Against Da Media.” The smash CD has two hit singles that have been nominated in the Best R&B Song Category: “Ain’t no Secret” and the title song “Against Da Media,” produced by Senjay Luckey and released on the Spinks Music Group recording label. The CD is available for purchase on iTunes.com and Napster.com. A New category, “Sing out for Social Action,” was recently added and Ms. Price’s song “We Wish” has been nominated for special recognition. Co-sponsored by the franchise operator Borders Books & Music the winners of the 2008 Independent Music Awards will be promoted to more than 9 million music fans.

“I’m not a political person and I don’t dwell on the politics of right and wrong concerning our nation’s foreign policy, but I feel that our troops serving abroad for whatever reason deserve our full support and that’s why “We Wish” was written and recorded. I will embark on a national tour – to send them a message of hope for a brighter day and to send a message that we sincerely care about their fate as they face great danger and risk their lives to help keep us safe on the homefront,” composer and performer Tiffany Price stated.

Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Ms. Price has resided most of her adult life in the City of East Orange. She is as talented as a business entrepreneur as she is as a prolific writer and recording artist and currently operates the gift shop concession at East Orange General Hospital.

“Tiffany Price is an extraordinary individual, as well as a talented artist and businesswoman who has an extraordinary story to tell. The East Orange General Hospital family is proud to support her efforts to express her message of hope, inspiration, compassion and comfort through her music,” Kevin Slavin President and CEO of East Orange General Hospital said.

Her extraordinary life’s journey is a story of triumph over tragedy. Her formative years during childhood were marked by tremendous tragic loss. At age 10, she lost her family in a devastating fire that burned her home to the ground. With the loss of her family, her parents, her sister and brothers, she was subjected to the cold, harsh realities of the foster care system. During this challenging period of her life she experienced all of the raw emotions of fright, loneliness, fear, despair and anxiety. She coped with her emotional turmoil by turning inward and developing her talents as a singer and songwriter. Music and signing would become her outlet to develop a healthy and constructive vehicle to express her feelings of anger and remorse. Singing also allowed her to express her faith, her love, her drive and passion. Music would serve as the foundation upon which she would use her pain to produce beauty through the creative healing force of musical expression.

Tiffany also experienced the loss of her best childhood friend. Following the loss, she was so depressed that she considered taking her own life. But she surmounted her adversity and rose above it with the help of her music and mutually concerned individuals to forge an inspired path of growth, maturity, faith and fortitude that belies her youthful appearance.

Currently, Her extraordinary life story is being developed into a autobiography called "I'm Strong Enough" written by Tiffany Cheri Price and a film produced by Tiffany Cheri Price and executive producer Gerard Spinks, CEO of the Spinks Music Group.

Ms. Price will be making her rounds of promotional television appearances to perform her hit song “We Wish” from her debut album. She is scheduled to perform on Comcast CN8 on January 30th, FOX TV Detroit on February 5th, NBC News on February 12th, and on CBS News on February 19th.

Her USO tour of military bases and other health care facilities will commence on March 23rd, at Lackland Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston on March 25th and she is scheduled to visit a hospital burn unit at Wilford Hall in San Antonio, TX. Tiffany Price has also been offered to perform on Guam Island, Japan, Korea, and Hawaii for our troops.

Bio

Never before in the history of the United States has an individual epitomized the “American Dream” more than Tiffany Cheri Price a/k/a/ T. C. Price. Born in arguably one of the most crime ridden, drug infested cities in the U.S.A., Newark, New Jersey served as T. C.’s unfortunate place of origin. While there have been countless stories written about Americans turning “tragedy” into “triumph” perhaps none is more deserving of recognition than the life story of the ultimate survivor, T. C. Price. Unlike many children who grow up enjoying youthful activities such as riding bikes, jumping rope, playing video games, or spending quality time with friends, to the contrary T. C.’s childhood was anything but normal.

Growing up one of six siblings to a loving mother and an abusive, alcoholic father would both “scar” and “shape” T. C. Price’s life. However, before her life could take shape, the emotional scars she suffered would ultimately threaten any chance of happiness she could hope for in the future. At age ten, with her life already in a dysfunctional state, she witnessed her mother being brutally pistol-whipped and left for dead, and later had to cope with her family’s home burning to the ground, forcing T. C. and her family to seek refuge at neighborhood homeless shelters. After two years of moving from one dangerous shelter to the next, a life that seemed incapable of getting worse hit rock bottom. Having withstood years of torture in the form of beatings, mental cruelty, an infidelity at the hands of her madman husband, finally took a toll on T. C.’s mother bringing about a downward spiral of epic proportions. A schizophrenic due to years of grueling beatings, T. C.’s mother who was a caring and incredibly beautiful woman, embraced crack cocaine as an escape from a life of pain and suffering. So addicted to crack her mother did the unthinkable one day while T. C. was just twelve years old, and with her father non-existent in her life, dropped her off at a neighbor’s house and never came back. Forced to become a ward of the State, she moved in with foster parents who contradicted the stereotypical ward providers by being positive in ways that her biological parents weren’t.

Although she received unconditional love and support from her foster parents, in particular her foster mother,
T. C. still had to contend with losing her first child at age 16. Now factor in becoming a drug dealer, victim of two abusive relationships, and having to identify her best friend’s body at the morgue on her 25th birthday, and one might wonder how the petite and stunningly attractive T. C. Price became the super successful woman she is today. Well, the answers are simple according to T. C.; she credits God, her foster parents, siblings, undeniable talent, and a never quit attitude for all of her accomplishments. Blessed with an angelic singing voice coupled with a writing style that’s sure to make her book entitled “I’m Strong Enough” one of the must reads of the new millennium, has the unofficial “Ambassador of Foster Care” positioned to become one of the greatest authors/singers of our generation. A gifted singer since the tender age of three T. C. Price has more than paid her music dues. Having been signed to a couple of fledging independent record labels as well as sharing the stage with countless superstars to include George Clinton, Lil’ Wayne, Naughty By Nature, Fabolous, Amerie, and G-Unit has thoroughly prepared the one of a kind storytelling singer for superstardom.

The consummate businesswoman, T. C. is as great an entrepreneur as she is a talent. The former, owner of two highly successful gift shops, million dollar sales executive for Nordstrom and Mercedes Benz, and the CEO of 2209 Publishing Company serve as definitive examples of her business brilliance. A modern day renaissance woman, T. C.’s ambition for success takes a backseat only to her vast humanitarian interests—The American Cancer Society, Jenna’s Rainbow Foundation, and her own charity which is dear to her heart, I’m Strong Enough Foundation, created to help children living in foster care.

With a life story that reads like a novel this voting Grammy member who credits Academy Award winner Mo’Nique, and multi-platinum artists 50 Cent and Ne-Yo as her biggest inspirations may soon become the “it” personality of the entertainment business. A media darling T. C. has appeared on numerous television news broadcasts. Armed with a lifetime of invaluable experience, a thriving career, and a one of a kind heart are the attributes that make T. C. Price’s life the quintessential definition of the “American Dream” realized.
