Listing Overview

University of New Mexico - Noontime Concert Series Photo Gallery

The UNM Noontime Series takes place on the University of New Mexico campus (26,000 students) in Albuquerque (population 600,000 at the I-40/I-25 junction) from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. The performance is either outdoors on a pedestrian mall or in the atrium of the Student Union Building, depending on the weather. Noontime performances have been going on for 10 years and are usually held weekly on Wednesdays, but can be scheduled Monday - Friday to accommodate traveling artists. The average attendance for the Noontime Series is 100 - 300 students.

UNM is interested in local or regional artists, or artists already touring through the area.

UNM is accepting all genres of music and pays a flat fee of between $100 - $250 depending on the act. Popular Noontime performers are often invited back to participate in UNM's outdoor music festival - Fiestas - in April and have an opportunity to open for a national headlining act.
