Bio

Just over a year old, With These, We Seize has found out who they are. They're writing better music, playing more shows, and in the process of recording another album; this time in a professional studio rather than in the basement of a church. These guys need your support. Find them on facebook, and spread the word!

With These, We Seize was officially born when Sean finally convinced his lifelong best friend, Garrett, to learn how to play bass. It was January 2010. To signify the fact that the band consisted of two groups of best friends that were brought together through music, the band was named Between Brothers. The actual name of the band wouldn't solidify until months later when the four-piece chose their new-found identity as With These, We Seize. Within a few short months over five songs were written, and within the first six months a 6 song EP was self-released. The name represents a mission to provoke the feelings that inspired the music.

With These, We Seize has a very dynamic sound. Songs build from acoustic guitar parts that swell to catchy sing-a-long choruses. Drum lines are constantly changing to half time, double time, etc. to emphasize the feeling these guys are trying to invoke. The lead guitar is very tasteful, with a mix of melodic and blazing fast solos that almost catch you off guard. The guitar parts are intricate, and complimentary with tasteful effects that don't distract but add to the song as a whole. Listener fatigue is minimal due to interesting dynamics and songwriting. New listeners have said "I find myself singing (their) songs days after I heard them trying to figure out who it is!" Bass grooves are triad based, melodic and have a slight reggae/r&b influence. This all mixes to be a very powerful and expressive band. A band that grabs your attention with their classic four piece sound, but keeps it with their interesting songwriting, dynamics and entertaining stage presence. Watch their video, and you'll see what I mean.
