Gig Overview
The Athens Pop Fest is more than just a four-day rock festival. It's an annual meeting of similarly-minded individuals and friends that care about the state of independent pop music, are excited by new bands and sounds, and desire to make new friends and rekindle friendships made at past festivals.
Athens Pop Fest is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. This years festival will take place August 12-16, 2008. Some of the many venues include the world famous 40 Watt Club, Little Kings Shuffle Club, The Caledonia Lounge and The Flicker Theater and Bar. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent at a recognized music festival.
Past performers include Daniel Johnston, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Black Kids, Deerhoof, Mountain Goats, Tullycraft, the Postmarks, Circulatory System, and Elekibass.
