BAMBU Band of the Year (extended)

Submit for the chance to become the BAMBU Band of the Year.

For hundreds of years, Bambu has led the rolling paper industry in standard and style. An instantly recognizable brand worldwide, Bambu has the ability to captivate attention, while possessing a natural connection to the world of music. Already a fixture on the festival circuit and in the minds of countless concert-goers, Bambu is bringing new and exciting talent to the stage in a fun and unique setting.

Every few weeks throughout the summer, beginning June 28th (additional dates to be announced), 4 bands will compete at Manhattan's historic Bowery Poetry Club. The winners of each of these rounds will receive $250 and advance to the finals, where the Bambu Band of the Year will be crowned. The champion at the finals will receive a prize package valued at over $5,000 featuring a year's worth of banner ads on bambu.com and various other sites, a featured song on bambu.com's music player, consultation and signing consideration from roc-elle records, cash, and a one-year Supersonic membership extension or upgrade from Sonicbids! Submissions are open exclusively to Sonicbids members.

Winners of the preliminary rounds are selected based on audience voting. The finals will be judged by a celebrity panel. Judges will be looking for bands with killer songs, dynamic stage presence, and the ability to rock the crowd.
