Bio

9th Ward Gucci is no stranger to the industry, exploding onto the Hip-Hop scene under the So-So Def label, having previously being briefly signed with Super Producer, Jermaine Dupri and Nitti (former So-So Def Producer, i.e., Young Joc’s song, “It’s Going Down”). As a result of LA Reid’s ultimate decision to separate from that aspect of that business, subsequently Jermaine Dupri, in addition to his artists, was concluded as well. Unfortunately, 9th Ward Gucci’s career was brought to an abrupt halt, due to these circumstances which were beyond his control. During that time, however, 9th Ward Gucci got the opportunity to collaborate with Platinum-Selling Artists/Producers, like The Dream, Trey Songz, Jermaine Dupri, Drumma Boy, DJ Spinz, Gucci Mane (“Accent”), and Yo Gotti. He also released several mixed tapes, including “Good Times,” “What Da Hood Made Me” (DJ Spinz), “Real Talk” (DJ Hektik), DJ Mike Swift, as well as work with JSoul, and KE. To date, 9th Ward Gucci has written and recorded well over 400 songs, some of which are “locked away” with his previous label, never to be used.

Since “Unsung,” 9th Ward Gucci released what he refers to an “interim” CD, as he worked to complete his newly-released album, “FOCUS” (featuring the single, “Dolla Signs”). At the same time of his album release, he also released the music video on World Star Hip Hop, which acquired 10,000 views within the first 24 hours and over 16,000 views during the first week.
