Bio

Andrea Jones is a BMI affiliated singer/songwriter and a voting member of the Recording Academy, from Sacramento, CA. Her sultry yet powerful voice and breathy deep tones make her song delivery one of a kind. Her most recent single, Back To Me" is the opening song for Don B. Welch's film, "The Divorce" starring Vanessa Bell Calloway and Dawnn Lewis. Andrea's single, "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" is featured in the 2013 nationally distributed film, "24 Hour Love" by Don B. Welch/Image Entertainment. Her follow up single, "Love of My Life" is currently on itunes produced by the Beattraffickers. She most recently performed in Don B. Welch's Hit Gospel stage plays, "Walking By Faith", "Let the Church Roll On" and The First Lady of Zion. Early in 2012, Andrea booked a principal role as a choir member in a Hewlett Packard commercial and was a featured vocalist in Don B. Welch's 2012 run of "Take it To the Lord or Else". She performed backgrounds on the 2011 American Idol Finale behind Jacob Lusk, Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight and did a background recording session with David Foster for Jackie Evancho. Andrea sang backgrounds for Mariah Carey on her ABC Christmas Special. She was featured in Don B. Welch's 2011 run of "Let the Church Roll On" as Ina Tines, "The First Lady of Zion" as Peola Petteway, 2010 run of the HIT gospel stageplay, "Hallelujah Mahalia" as Henrietta Waddy (of the world famous WARD singers) starring Loretta Devine and Tamika Patton as well as a featured vocalist in Don B Welch's play, Heavenbound. Andrea was also a soloist in the 2010 Cheesecake Factory/Feeding America/American Idol Web Promo. She sang backgrounds for Dr. Bobby Jones on 2010 BET Celebration of Gospel and sang a song called “I Cry,You Cry” featured in BET movie “Dough Boys”. Andrea has also performed on Young & the Restless, been an opening act for PJ Morton, Frank McComb, Rahsaan Patterson, and been part of a chorus on Josh Groban & Andrea Bocelli's cds. Additionally she appeared on Ellen Degeneres & the Tonight show with Tribe of Judah singing backgrounds for Josh Groban and sang backgrounds for Natalie Cole at her highly anticipated 2009 Hollywood Bowl Show. She is taking the industry by storm as a singer, songwriter, actress. Stay tuned for more music, plays and films from her in 2015.
