Big American Family is Indie rock with strong, sweet female harmonies and unique instrumentation. The family creates their melodic, catchy sound with acoustic guitar, violin, upright and electric bass as well as electric banjo and drums. The synergy of the band is found in their relation to one another, its not just a name, they really are family. Family that realized they communicated better in song in February of 2008. Since last year Big American Family has become a local favorite in their Monterey Bay, California stomping grounds. Opened for Iconic music group- The Doobie Brothers. Support for indie artists like AA Bondy and Carney headlining local venues, and in the studio recording-- the end of the year is looking to put Big American Family on a family touring road trip!
