"Around this time I saw a guy take the stage who I knew was part of the Nasty/Shane promotions team. Darrin Gray (Guam High, Snagglepuss) commented to me that this guy could really sing. Now, "Wild Horses" is not only one of my favorite Stones' songs, but, one of my all-time favorite songs. I even like the version that The Sundays did on the prom episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Tonight Shane Elks sang "Wild Horses". I wound up with both of my forearms resting on the edge of the stage looking up at Shane like an admiring puppy waiting for a treat from its owner.
