Bio

Music + Shows:
In 2012 Cage9 visited Japan for three shows as part of the Unionway Fest opening for MxPx and Kottonmouth Kings and spent over 2 months on the road in the U.S. as part of the Apocalyptic Takeover Tour with their Arizona friends The Sammus Theory. In October, the band released their new album "How to Shoot Lasers from Your Eyes" in the US, Japan and in Panama, where both songs "Master of Your Disaster" and the title track "How to Shoot Lasers..." spent weeks as the #1 most requested songs on that countries #1 FM rock station.
In 2011 Cage9 were direct openers for Ozzy Osbourne in Latin America and also were chosen by fans and judges via SonicBids to perform on the Shiprocked cruise that featured Queensryche, Sevendust, Hellyeah, In This Moment and more. Cage9 has also gigged with Seether, Buckcherry, Karnivool, Madina Lake, Ice T’s Body Count, Adema, Cheap Trick, Smile Empty Soul, Powerman 5000 and performed on cable channel G4's "Attack of the Show." The quartet’s explosive live show packs the house in their hometown and has scarred stages across the U.S. as well as Japan, Germany and Central America. Cage9’s last release, the post-apocalyptically themed “Survival Plan,” includes cameos by Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit, Spider One of Powerman 5000 and Mike Miller of Godhead.

Movie + Licensing:
"Hearts & Stars" can be heard on the latest version of the video game "MX vs. ATV Untamed." The quartet can also be heard in WWE upstart Dolph Ziggler's wrestling entrance theme song, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s theme song and movie “The Condemned,” Rob Dyrdek’s MTV show “Fantasy Factory,” in the trailer for the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, as well as on FX's "The Shield," “American Pie: Band Camp,” and vampire thriller "Demon Hunter."

Accolades:
Cage9's English and Spanish video for “My Doppelganger/Doble Opuesto” spent much of ‘07 in full rotation on MTV Latino and the guys were invited to MTV's Latin Video Awards in Mexico City where they walked the red carpet with bands like The Cure, Juanes and Avril Lavigne. The video also appeared on MTV Japan, Fuse on Demand and +23 in Panama. Cage9 has won many awards in Panama’s annual PanamaRock Event and is considered by many local rockers to be the country’s most promising heavy-rock export.

Press + Radio:
The band has been mentioned in Rolling Stone (Latin America) where Cage9's last E.P. received a cool 3.5 star review, as well as in Billboard, Campus Circle, Hits, Music Connection and has been the subject of many full-page spreads in Panamanian newspapers. U.S. radio playlists that have featured Cage9 include L.A.’s “World Famous” KROQ, Phoenix’s KEDJ, El Paso’s KLAQ, Lubbock’s FMX, XM & Sirius Satellite Radio and more. Cage9’s Spanish song “Solo Fue” hit #1 on Panama’s top FM station Radio Mix, but the band’s music has been a common denominator on the country’s airwaves since it formed there over ten years ago.

Labels + Sales:
Already a part of Universal Music Publishing, Cage9 signed with Japanese label Triple Vision Entertainment / BM.3 Corporation in 2007, who licensed the band’s last five releases which have gone on to sell over 18,000 copies to date.

Fun Facts:
Singer/guitarist Evan Rodaniche also moonlights as a member of the platinum-selling Powerman 5000. Evan not only co-wrote that band’s new album but also recorded, produced and mixed it.
