Bio
There, in a concealed corner of the Sonoran desert, the small town of Somerton, Arizona survives. In the summer 1998, the cry of a voice of one calling in the desert was heard throughout Somerton’s streets and avenues. Comezón de Oír, a Spanish rock band was playing its first backyard gig. Musical euphoria traversed through chords and cables exploding in sound through dusty speaker cones while a body made of many swayed and rocked to the rhythm of the music: the place was on. Since then, Comezón de Oír has strived forward in spite of certain setbacks and quite a few changes. After writing, arranging and producing two EPs "Tragedias de lo Común" in 2001, and "Cantar Pinturas" (2004), Comezón de Oír now has had the privilege of writing, arranging, and producing its first LP album entitled "CLAUDIO". Comezón de Oír survives and produces.
Although stylistic musical influences of each member vary, the musical style of the band is well-defined as one full of energy and ambiance. The lyric is a textural tapestry of poetry and prose with a stroke of hymnal influence interpreted by a voice oscillating from the melodious to the brutal. (Julio Castillo, vocals, guitar). In the area of guitars, Rode Zambrano (Guitar) paints the surface of an auditory canvas in tones and motifs that inspire the soul to feel and shine. Hector Castillo (drums) contributes to this musical work with his own personal rhythmic Cubism while Ernesto "che" Salvatierra colors each stroke with a picturesque touch of his bass.
