Bio
Austin's own Chris Morris Band has exploded onto the Texas Country and Southern Rock scene headlining major venues and promoting their self-titled debut EP, CMB. They hit the ground running in the summer of 2009, selling out bars and building a reputation.
"One of the best live shows I've seen in years..." "Crazy, just crazy..." "They're what country rock's been waiting for..." The Chris Morris Band has shared the stage with Brandon Jenkins, Tommy Alverson, and several other major artists, standing out and awing fans with their unique Texas Country/Southern/90's Rock arsenal. The band is currently touring Texas and beyond while perfecting material for their up and coming album, The Birth of Satchel Wallace, set for release in fall of 2011.
Bassist Roy Haliburton provides the unstoppable heartbeat of the band with a unique blend of funk and rock finger styles that make you stop and take notice of this otherwise background instrument. John Menard claims the spotlight on every song by drawing incredibly inventive and impassioned country/rock riffs and solos out of his guitar as the band’s lead player. Louis Baker is a master percussionist who puts on an amazingly physical high-energy show all his own that has to be seen live. Chris Morris draws on his many artistic influences and life experiences to fuel his intense and frenzied performances as guitar player and front man.
Call it country, call it rock and roll, call it what you will, this band has it. Come experience the Chris Morris Band as they continue their march toward the Texas music charts.
