"Club Acoustica at La Bar, Thursday 15 August"

The 'Sirens' set off sirens in the audience last Thursday and the night was an absolute hit. Itu opened the night and what a woman. Just her and a guitar gave one of the moving performances I've ever seen.....A hard act to follow but surprise surprise along came Claire Wyndham who blew everyone to the ground with the voice of an angel. Wow!! that girl has got a voice that leaves you craving for more. A sound you can really lose yourself in. She effortlessly kept the venue crowded till the very end. Now that's holding an audience. - www.clubacoustica.com.au

""Liquid Bridge" Soundtrack Review"

With his directorial debut, iconic Aussie producer and filmmaker Phil Avalon (Summer City, The Pact) heads into the surf for the tale of a wannabe pro waxhead who gets set up as a drug smuggler. The film is about youth and the lure of the sea, and the soundtrack follows suit. Though made up of principally little known Australian artists, the disc kicks off with The Atlantics......The highlight, however, is the sharp, crackling pop of Claire Wyndham's total charmer "Born To Ride". - Filmink Magazine

"Unisong International Song Contest"

"I must tell you how much I truly liked the whole vibe & attitude of your song & punchy vocal with that instantly memorable payoff chorus....I wish I'd written it myself."

Alan Roy Scott - Co-founder of the "Unisong" International Song Contest and 25 year veteren of the music industry, in regards to "Lazy Side of Crazy." - www.unisong.com

"10 Aussie Artists to Discover"

Claire Wyndham
Sydney’s Claire Wyndham is a brilliant singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist. Her debut album Lazy Side of Crazy is packed with passionate melodic tunes which draw inspiration from the likes of Michelle Branch and Brooke Fraser. But Claire’s more than just a local secret. In January, Claire became the first Aussie to play America’s Rock Boat alongside Collective Soul, Josh Kelley, Sister Hazel and Tonic’s Emerson Hart, and she’s just returned from another successful US tour. - Oz Music Scene

"Album Review"

Being a BIG fan of Michelle Branch, it is hardly surprising that I LOVE this album - this superb piece of work from Claire Wyndham took my breathe away. Blessed with a strong yet soft and gentle voice similar to that of the lovely Michelle, Claire delivers 13 fabulous tracks each one a hit in their own right. Particular favourites for me are "Sooner or Later," "Walking Away" and "Lazy Side of Crazy", yet all the songs are great, a perfect selection of pop ballads and more uptempo feel good numbers - with a balance that is just right. This album offers a beautiful collection of catchy, well written, meaningful songs sung by a very talented lady, I hope more work from this Ozzy songstress will emerge very soon. - cdbaby.com

"Album Review"

Sydney singer songwriter Claire Wyndham has released her album "Lazy Side Of Crazy" and it is a fine example of clever songwriting performed by a superb vocalist with terrific power pop tunes. This musician has all the songs and the great hooks that rival anything by the likes of Michelle Branch or any other US/European pop princess can deliver. I am forever happy that those good folk at CD Baby said listen to this and with songs such as the title track "Lazy Side of Crazy" and "Sooner or Later" to the thought provoking "Show Me" - I was sold. What really bites though is this girl is from Australia and Americans have to tell me how good she is. Why won't our industry support talent like this. For "Lazy Side Of Crazy" is a great album full of melodic songs and lyrical surprises that keep coming and no filler either. Claire Wyndham is definitely worth tracking down live or on CD. Listen to what we are missing. - BMA Magazine

OFFICIAL BIO

Described as a 'melodically gifted songstress with a big future,' Australian singer/songwriter Claire Wyndham has been turning heads since her first public performance in 2002. Within twelve months she had played showcases at Australia's premier music venue, "The Basement," performed with the likes of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Kasey Chambers at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, had a song included on the soundtrack of Aussie surf film, "Liquid Bridge," and professionally recorded five of her songs. Not bad - this is one young lady who doesn't muck around.

Her career quickly progressed from that first performanceIn 2004, one of her songs, "Perfect," reached the finals of the Jaxter Artist Awards, as well as charting on numerous music websites around the world. She also released a radio single in 2005, "Here was Blue," to Australian radio, which over 100 stations picked up and played on high rotation. Claire had two songs nominated for Female Singer/Songwriter of the year at the 2006 Los Angeles Music Awards, and she is receiving strong rotation on internet radio all over the world. Most recently, Claire's song "Lazy side of Crazy," came 3rd in the 2007 Unisong International Song Contest, beating out thousands of other entrants and her song, "Show Me" won a highly sought after spot on the 2008 internationally released "Females on Fire" compilation.

In 2006, Claire started work on her debut album, Lazy Side of Crazy. The album, which features a full production of 13 tracks, all written by Claire herself, was released at her sold out show at Sydneys infamous music venue The Basement, in mid 2007. The album has since received rave reviews both in Australia and internationally, as well as radio play all over the world.

Claire then spent much of 2007 focusing on the US market, having started off the year playing on the world's greatest floating music festival, "The Rock Boat," along with Sister Hazel, Emerson Hart, Collective Soul and Josh Kelley, where she was the first Australian artist ever to be placed on the bill (booked after the leader singer of Sister Hazel heard her play one song). From there, she followed that up with a three month long tour in August-October 2007 to launch the album. That tour saw Claire trekking across the country, playing 25 shows in cities such as LA, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Orlando, Cincinnati, Kentucky and many more. This tour also included a 3 week support slot for fellow Rock Boat band, Scarlet Kings.

2008 began with the highlight of her career where she played alongside music legends Lyle Lovett, Emmy-lou Harris, Patty Griffin, John Hiatt, Shawn Mullins, Brandie Carlile and many more onboard the inaugural Cayamo cruise a collection of singer/songwriters performing for over 3000 music fans. There was then a tour of her home country and various music endeavours before Clare realised that her musical heart really lived in the US.

She has since been co-writing for both herself and other artists with some brilliant songwriters in the US. As of 2010, Claire now lives in Nashville TN, with a full tour schedule and recording due to start for her follow up album.
