Color

Color is comprised of Michael Brooker (Lead Vocals, Guitar) Cruz Crase (Drums, Vocals) and Trevor Soetaert (Bass, Vocals), three mid-westerners displaced to Austin, TX aiming to explore and share their artistic voice through music. The sound of Color can be described as a blending of Rock n Roll, R&B, and Pop music in the finest of traditions. With influences ranging from Motown and R&B classics, the British Invasion, and more progressive hard-hitting styles, Color finds ways to blur the edges of these genres and make music that isn't about classification but about the pure enjoyment of listening. The music has moments where it is energetic and fun with a danceable quality but can also shift to a very personal and intimate situation where the listener feels invited. They place great importance on the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm and lyrics, feeling that these are the cornerstones that hold up the music that they create. Currently finishing up their first release of songs in the studio, they have been playing several shows in Austin to promote their material and look forward to sharing their music with everyone. All in all Color wants to push their limits creatively to share love through the power and emotion of music.
