I Never Looked Like That

Written By: Millard/Mytych

I saw that look, you know the one I mean
When you were flippin' through the girlie magazine
She was a cute blond with a tiny waist
With brown doe eyes, bazookas staring in your face

Well here you are with me,
And three kids and another on the way
I think it's time for you to grow up now
Honey, I think it's time to set you straight

I never looked like that, I never did, I never will
Just seconds from bein' over the hill
I never looked like that
And honey I never will

I never looked like that, Don't mean to sound shrill
But if that's what you're lookin for you better foot the bill
Cause some of my parts need liftin', some of them enlarged
And right now baby I'm feeling like a big freight barge

Well I will do my part to make you happy and do whatever it takes
But I think you're being naive' to try to make a change
And replace me with one of those fakes

I never looked like that, I never did, I never will
Just seconds from bein' over the hill
I never looked like that
And honey I never will

I never looked like that, I never did, I never will
Most of my parts are headin' downhill
I never looked like that
And honey I never will

Living Alone

Written By: Millard/Mytych

Mama she left me, my daddy left me too
And now as you’re packing your bags you’re wondering what I’ll do
“Leaving’s” such a hard word, but it’s a word I’ve grown used to.
Now, living alone ain’t lonely anymore

Well, is it me? Is there something I do wrong?
It seems that everyone I love, never stays around too long.
I just get to the caring point and it seems that they are gone. But now, living alone ain’t lonely no more

Someday I’m gonna find me a special man Someday I know I can
But tonight, I’m young and I’m having some fun
Since you walked out the door
And living along ain’t lonely no more

You thought I’d come back to you,
begging, crying please
You thought I’d come back to you,
crawling on my knees
Well life is better now, since you handed me my keys
And now living alone ain’t lonely no more.

Someday I’m gonna find me a special man
Someday I know I can
But tonight, I’m young and I’m having some fun
Since you walked out the door
And living along ain’t lonely no more

Do It All For You

Written By: Lou Mytych

I’ve seen the way you give to others, all the good you’ve got
Till nothing’s left , nothing more
And there are those who take advantage, pulling you apart
You wonder what you’re living for

It’s a matter of your health, put your troubles on a shelf
Just reclaim yourself, Do it all for you

So the past has left you – far away behind, it’s OK to walk away
Run through a field of daisies, climb a mountain high
Now it’s your time to play

Dip your feet into a stream, Turn your sleep into a dream
Rebuild your self esteem, Do it all for you

You think, Your thoughts are nothing new
Daytime, Nighttime someone somewhere thinks of you

I know it’s not that easy for a girl like you, to sing a different song
But remember who you really are, and who you’re living for
You are loved and you belong

Wake up early every day, say a prayer along the way
Put aside your work to play, Do it all for you,
Soon a little voice will say, Do it all for you

Outtakes

Written By: Lou Mytych

I take a look at the stars, and try to do what they tell me too
I wish that there was a way, the road to my big breakthrough
I shouldn’t look very far, enough excuses and mental blocks
With all the answers there are, I saw it on the DVD box

And all the bad breaks, I let get me down, will be a lesson to behold
I’ll do some retakes and get back and then
Look at the outtakes of my life and try to make it right

I saw a man on TV, he had a plan to correct my ways
To organize and achieve, and this will take thirty days
Does he really know me?, what works for one man is his alone
With all direction within, we gotta deal with the great unknown

And all the mistakes I never turned around will be a footnote on the page
I’ll do some retakes and get back and then
Look at the outtakes of my life and try to make it right

I saw it once in a dream, so hard to fix before I awoke
It’s getting harder to sleep, am I the brunt of this evil joke
If life could imitate art, you’d see yourself on the silver screen
A cinematic masterpiece, with no cuts or deleted scenes

And all the bad breaks, I let get me down, will be a lesson to behold
I’ll do some retakes and get back and then
Look at the outtakes of my life and try to make it right

And all the mistakes I never turned around will be a footnote on the page
I’ll do some retakes and get back and then
Look at the outtakes of my life and try to make it right

I Don't Really Care

Written By: Millard/Mytych

I don't really care if I know you after all these years
I don't really care if the others think I'm being too severe
It's not even that I hate you
It's hard to hate the one you loved
I just don't wanna debate you
You're the last one I wanna be thinking of

I don't really care if you come to me with your wants and needs
I don't really care, You can't expect anything from me
You were the one who taught me
You were the one who fought my love
Now why do want a piece of me
I can't imagine what you are thinking of

I don't really care though there was a time when I needed you
I don't really care, I prayed for the day when you'd save me too
You left me here and turned away
Now I'm making it on my own
The child in me has stayed
This emptiness won't leave me alone

I don't really care if you come to me with your wants and needs
I don't really care, You can't expect anything from me
You were the one who taught me
You were the one who fought my love
Now why do want a piece of me
I can't imagine what you are thinking of
I don't really care

I don't really care

This Sure Don't Look Like Love To Me

Written By: Millard/Mytych

You kiss me then you walk on out the door
You say “Another day, another dollar
And honey I never loved you more”

(But when you) come back home you reek of her perfume
And no matter how you talk around it
There’s always another in this room

And this sure don’t look like love to me
Far as I see
This ain’t the way love’s supposed to be
Cause one and one make two and never three
No this sure don’t look like love to me

What am I gonna do
I can’t live my life without you
We’ve been such a good pair
And I’m not ready to share
Your love with anybody new

It hurts to know I’m not enough for you
You cheat, you lie and give me alibis
And still I can’t stop loving you

I know it’s time for me to set you free
Should I move along? Do you want me gone?
You gotta choose – Is it her or me?

And this sure don’t look like love to me
Far as I see
This ain’t the way love’s supposed to be
Cause one and one make two and never three
No this sure don’t look like love to me

B S Blues

Written By: Lou Mytych

Hopped on a Metro North train outta New York City
I swear I saw him with a guitar standing there
Well he was older now – not the boy with the face so pretty
Caught a glimpse of his brown eyes and long silver hair

You know I heard about the stories and the rumors
Why’d he have to show up now and change all my plans?
And as he stepped down from the train in downtown Yonkers
I knew I’d follow him cause I’ll never get a second chance

I’m gonna track him down across every town and city
Through Baltimore and Nashville Tennessee
I’ll look in Branson town and Tupelo Mississippi
And every bus stop, truck stop, Burger King and Mickey D’s

It was late at night at a traffic light in Mobile
A blue Lincoln limousine pulled up on my left side
Through the wind and rain I could see his unmistakable profile
At last my “Teddy Bear” has no place to run and hide

I moved my bright yellow Duster up in front of his bumper
I heard his tires screech as I began to reach for the door
As he drove away I could hear his voice through the thunder
He said – “Baby, don’t you bother me no more”

I’m gonna track him down across every town and city
Through Baltimore and Nashville Tennessee
I’ll look in Branson town and Tupelo Mississippi
And every bus stop, truck stop, Burger King and Mickey D’s

When we meet and you ask me - Are You Lonesome Tonight?”
I’ll say “It’s Now Or Never” cause you know my love is true.
I’ll be your “Good Luck Charm” and babe it’ll be alright
After all these years I still see the “Wonder Of You”

Baby you are still the best, You’re better than all of the rest
Could you autograph one of my breasts – I got the Blue Suede Blues

Without A Net

Written By: Lou Mytych

I’m comin’ home, I can’t seem to figure out where this life is takin me
Now you’ve gone, dunno what I’m gonna do or who I’m s’posed to be
I lost my phone, didn’t matter much cause no one was calling
I can’t help but moan… The way I treated you was somewhat appalling

But.. This daring young man will never forget
After flying so high you come crashing down and it hurts – without a net

So what went wrong?, I sure didn’t promise you I’d go away quietly.
I took too long, quit tryin to reason with the demons inside of me.
Per your request, the job I’ve been slaving through is more for my benefit
I must confess, that this kind of livin is an unfair prerequisite

But.. This daring young man must never forget
After getting so high you come crashing down and it hurts – without a net

I recall the month you left, it was a hot and steamy June
and now it’s time to rescue me and lift this shroud of gloom

I met your friend, was cool & rehearsed and unsure of your whereabouts
I must commend, did you simply disappear in spite of our falling out
No private eye, or search on the internet could justify the money spent
Who’s to imply, that no psychic ever was a lottery recipient

and This daring young man must never forget
After falling so far you’ll come crashing down and it hurts – without a net

I do regret, the choices in life I’ve made have all been destroying me
My Sweet Annette, one day without your love is not how it’s meant to be

But.. This daring young man should never forget
After crawling back home on your hands and your knees how it hurts –
without Annette

The Best Thing

Written By: Lou Mytych

So off I went to school with nothing more than a pencil and my innocence
Standing here bruised and beaten, how exactly do I show my reverence
Their teachings justified through the fear of God and the Holy Spirit
And when I cried at night, Mommy said “you must have deserved it”!

Then off I went to work making more money than my father ever saw
He never understood why his boy didn’t walk where Daddy did before
But to give up your sweat, blood and soul to one miserable bastard
Takes you farther away from the dreams that you’re chasing after

Seems like life knocks you down at the wrong time and place
When the spotlight comes on - Is it you that they really see?
To those that I love I give thanks for your embrace
But could it be that I’m the best thing, - that ever happened to me

Live and learn – I’ve always faced my fears
Now it’s my turn – Cause I’m still standing here.

So off we went to church with a ring and a promise to forever be
What a fool I was, all the time I expected you to carry me
The expiration date on our love passed by before we noticed it
And now I’ll make sure that two hearts are not taken for granted

So often times I sit and wonder how could I do it any other way
Some may call me cold hearted, mean and selfish as I am today
But when the going gets tough and there’s no one and no place to hide
Remember the best thing you’ve got is what you have inside

You know it seems like life kicks you down at the wrong place and time
When the spotlight goes out it’s just you that you need to be
To love yourself first, well you know it’s not such a crime
So could it be - that I’m the best thing - that ever happened to me?
