Biography

A Band of Brothers

If you know anything about Nashville, Tennessee, you know that its a city that draws musicians from near and far with dreams in their hearts and their back strapped with a guitar. Some are just dreamers, some desire to attain fame, and the very few that stand out are the ones that possess true, raw talent. DNA, a group of three brothers from Imperial, Missouri, are said without a doubt...[to be] headed for success in the music industry. Strong vocal harmonies, instrumentals, original lyrics and stage presence...the perfect package (Hard Rock St. Louis, MO). The three brothers: Chuck Callahan (lead guitarist/ fiddler/ vocalist), Champ Callahan (lead vocalist/ pianist/ guitarist), and Chase Callahan (bassist/ cellist/ vocalist) are all influenced by major music legends such as Queen, The Beatles, Muse, and The Eagles. The fluidity to their pop-rock sound strikes the listener as something new, fresh and different. The band says that they want their music to have positive and creative lyrics, great harmonies, and musical excellence.

The brothers, who grew up right outside of St. Louis, are the sons of musicians themselves. Their parents, both with B.A.s in Music, raised the brothers to enjoy the art, and with that introduction, the boys latched onto it and began to practice their skill daily. As kids, the boys say their parents arranged nursing home tours where they would practice sharing their music with the elderly. The brothers say that this was their parents way of teaching them how to not just perform, but to understand how to be encouraging through music. Through growing up together, the harmony of the brothers was perfected through their daily practice, usually performing forty concerts per summer on their tours. The brothers have since then played shows up to sixty thousand people. They have opened up for country songwriter, Jeffery Steele in St. Louis and have played at multiple bigger scale venues such as 12th and Porter in Nashville, Hard Rock Caf (Nashville and St. Louis), Ciceros (St. Louis), Plush (St. Louis), Blue Note (St. Louis), Apple Butter Festival (St. Louis), Opry Mills Mall (Nashville), and Ivory Theatre. The band of brothers have a promotional tour in the works for this summer (2013) that will be in music hot-spots all over the country.

DNA released their six-track EP, Personality, in October of last year. The album can be found online at dnastl.bandcamp.com. The full length album is set to release on April 1st entitled, "Plenty of Thoughts," which will be available on iTunes and Amazon for purchase.

DNA is one of those bands that will make it in Nashville and any other city they may visit. They are just as theyve named themselves: a band with a composition so unique, there is no other band that measures up in any identical form.

Hypocrite

Written By: DNA

Once I was a hypocrite and all I had was me.
Life was so unfortunate I never would believe.
Once I was a mocking voice to make me feel at ease.
I was so indifferent to what I wouldn’t see.

Eeeeee Ahhh. (Once I was a hypocrite and all I had was me).

Once I was a pessimist the world belonged to me.
I didn’t care for anyone because I was the king.
But now I see a little boy whose begging on the street.
I pull an apple from my bag and I begin to weep

Eeeeee Ahhh. (Once I was a hypocrite and all I had was me).

Now I am the kind of man I’d never thought I’d be.
Now I find the joy in life it comes so easily.
Now instead of finding fault and living critically.
I’ve thrown the chains of pride aside. And now I feel so free.

Eeeeee Ahhh. (Once I was a hypocrite and all I had was me).

Personality

Written By: DNA

When I think about Love I think of your sweet smile
Your clearwater eyes and your hand that fits right into mine
And when we get old and gray all the good looks will dwindle
But the love will rekindle with our words

Baby, it’s who you are that attracts me
It’s what you do that kidnaps me
It’s personality

All through my day I’ve been dreaming of you
I just wanna hold you tight and never let you go
So won’t you carry me love through the winds of December
I’d be swept away but you anchor me to the ground

Baby, it’s who you are that attracts me
It’s what you do that kidnaps me
It’s personality
Oh baby thought all was lost til I found ya
I just love being around ya
It’s personality

Baby, it’s who you are that attracts me
It’s what you do that kidnaps me
It’s Personality
Oh Baby thought all was lost til I found ya
I just love being around ya
It’s personality

Baby, it’s who you are that attracts me
It’s what you do that kidnaps me
It’s Personality
Oh Baby thought all was lost til I found ya
I just love being around ya
It’s personality

And I’m not livin’ without ya
I just love being around
I just love being around ya
It’s personality

Zealots

Written By: DNA

I can already feel we’re taking it to the edge
I can already feel we’re pushing it to the edge
I can already feel we’re wavering on the edge

Honor Place Me Place
Worthy Make Me Make Me
Stronger Break Free Break Free
Hey

Had enough of this meal this nonsense we’re being fed
Exchanging lies for the truth it’s forced into our heads
We’re fighting back with the truth and it’s driving us to the end
Out of the darkness we rise can see the light ahead

Hey

Honor Place Me Place
Worthy Make Me Make Me
Stronger Break Free Break Free

Keeping in mind the zealots ways they can change our time and age

Feel the Rush of the roaring crowd
Claim your right to the golden Crown

Plenty of Thoughts

Written By: DNA

Some people love to argue
Some people want to forget you
But they don’t understand
They’ll tear down any man
If they only knew

There’s Plenty of Thoughts inside my head
I can’t believe what people said
They’re pulling me down
And they’re hanging me out
To dry but baby let’s sing
And baby let’s dance
I’m gonna leave it in the past
Cause nothin’ can keep me from
Being with you tonight

Some people say I’m washed up
Some people say I’ve got no luck
But they don’t understand
I know who I am
If they only knew

There’s Plenty of Thoughts inside my head
I can’t believe what people said
They’re pulling me down
And they’re hanging me out
To dry but baby let’s sing
And baby let’s dance
I’m gonna leave it in the past
Cause nothin’ can keep me from
Being with you tonight

Brink of Disaster

Written By: DNA

Can’t you see Can’t you see I’m scared
Gotta have Gotta have you here
Oh’ how much it means to know your near
The enemy is all around
If I’m alone then they’ll bring down
I only feel my strength when I’m with you

Don’t you leave tonight
You’ve gotta stay with me
Don’t you leave tonight
You’ve gotta stay with me

I’m on the brink of Disaster
I feel the world fallin’ faster
I gotta know that you’re with me
Save me from drowning in Misery

Can’t you see Can’t you see I’m scared
Gotta have Gotta have you here
Oh’ how much it means to know your near

Don’t you leave tonight
You’ve gotta stay with me
Don’t you leave tonight
You’ve gotta stay with me

I’m on the brink of Disaster
I feel the world fallin’ faster
I gotta know that your with me
Save me from drowning in Misery

I’m on the brink of Disaster
I feel the world fallin’ faster
I gotta know that your with me
Save me from drowning in Misery

One in a Million

Written By: DNA

V1
If you just want me to leave
You’ll have to carry me out by my feet
If you just want me to go
You’ll have to carry me all on your own

Chorus:
OOOOOOoooooooh You’re one in a million,
One in a million,
To me,
Ooooohhhh You’re one in a million,
One in a million,
To me,
V2
I try to get over you
But it’s something that I just can’t do
I’ve been all around this world
There ain’t another like you girl
Chorus
Bridge
I am always at your side,
And I’ll always be,
Cuz I, I love you
This universe is big and wide,
And when I look to my surprise,
I see there’s a billion stars out there,
But there’s none, shining like you
None like you

If you just want me to leave,
You’ll have to drag me out by my feet

Chorus

More Than a Little Bit

Written By: DNA

I’ll give you more than a little bit
I’ll give you way more than a little bit

There’s nobody else out there who loves you like I do
There’s nobody else out there who would do the things I do for you
There’s nobody else out there who really knows what it takes
Cause I’m the one (I’m the one) Yeah I’m the one who’s craziest for you

So Baby Baby

I’ll give you more than a little bit
I’ll give you way more than a little bit
I’ll give you more than a little bit of my love

All this love for you there is no limit
It stretches farther than the sky
And all I have for you it will be given
Cause all this love (all this love) Yeah all this love I’ve been saving it for you

So Baby Baby

I’ll give you more than a little bit
I’ll give you way more than a little bit
I’ll give you more than a little bit of my love

I’ll give you more than a little bit
I’ll give you way more than a little bit
I’ll give you more than a little bit of my love

I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more
I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more
I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more
I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more, I’ll give you more

And I’ll give you more than a little bit
I’ll give you way more than a little bit
I’ll give you more than a little bit of my love

Stonewall Jackson

Written By: DNA

Intro:
Stonewall:
Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. Captain, that is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave. The time for war has not yet come, but it will come, and that soon; and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard.

V1
No fear in the face of Jackson staring straight out at the enemy,
No fear in the face of Jackson staring straight out at the enemy,
Eyes like fire and a beard like Zues and he’s staring straight out at the enemy,
He roars when he screams at his troops and says, “boys you wanna live ya better fight like me”

Bridge
Lemme show you how a hero lives,
Lemme show you what a hero does,
Lemme show you how to get em scared
Lemme show you how to make em run
Chorus:
Plenty of bullets in the air,
But in the face of death I’ll plainly stare,
I’m standing here, like Stonewall Jackson
Men running for their lives while they still can,
But if I’m gonna go I’ll go like a man,
I’m standing here, like Stonewall Jackson

V2
No fear in the face of Jackson staring straight out at the enemy,
He knows no fear, cuz he’s Stonewall Jackson
Eyes like fire and a beard like Zeus, He sounds the charge and boldly leads his troops,
Repeat V2
Chorus
Bridge (x2)

Bridge/Tag:
I’m safe in battle as in bed for God has fixed my time of death (x4)

Soldier: There’s Jackson standing like a Stonewall, let us determine to die here! RALLY BEHIND THE VIRGINIANS!
Chorus

Tag:

Stonwall: In the Army of the Shenandoah, you were the First Brigade! In the Army of the Potomac you were the First Brigade! In the Second Corps of this Army, you are the First Brigade! You are the First Brigade in the affections of your general, and I hope by your future deeds and bearing you will be handed down the posterity as the First Brigade in this our Second War of Independence. Farewell!
