"Review"

"Cannata, one of the first students enrolled in NYU's Clive Davis Department of recorded music, is also the son of famous saxophone player Richie Cannata, who toured with the likes of Billy Joel and The Beach Boys.

Eren, a Long Island native, played a string of original pop/rock tunes to a packed house at the Bitter End.

With a loyal fan base, a soundtrack spot on "Dawson's Creek", and the attention of several record labels, Cannata has molded himself into a serious musician." - Washington Square News

"Blog Review"

"He really had the crowd in his clutches. (He even had a certain Gavin DeGraw in the audience boppin' his head) Not only was his band very together and professional, but his songs were catchy as hell, and alot of fun. (and the ladies were screaming) So I went in with my guard up, and came out smiling enjoying both sets immensely. So to all of you Eskay Everyday readers... go out and see some good 'ol pop rock once in awhile! You'll have a good time... I promise." - Eskay Everyday

Bio

EREN CANNATA BIO

Eren Cannata’s natural talent and genuine artistry has made him one of the most promising up and coming artists today. Bringing universal appeal to his music and performances, and his uncanny ability as a songwriter and in the studio as a producer, he will undoubtedly sustain widespread success in the industry for decades to come. Growing up in a musical household, his talent has been evident from a young age. His first recording session at the age of two was only the precursor to his future in the music industry. Soon after he acted in a movie “Under the Cover of Darkness” with Richard Bradford and for several years he was on the award winning “As the World Turns”. These experiences prompted him to learn all components of the business, from the technical to the artistic. At this young age, he also began his musical journey with piano and guitar lessons, and continued to study and evolve. After graduating from a prestigious private school, Eren was among the 24 musician/producers accepted into New York University’s Clive Davis Recorded Music program. He submitted his song “Part of Me” for his application portfolio. The song was soon after selected for the Dawson’s Creek DVD in 2003, and is also featured on Eren’s debut album. While pursuing his education, he continues developing his skills as a songwriter and producer creating music for himself and other artists. His songs can be heard on Brie Larson’s debut album, released on Tommy Mottola’s Casablanca Records. He has become a highly recognized artist in his native Long Island and his fan base has been steadily growing as he performs legendary venues around New York City. Eren has been able to establish himself as an original artist, bringing relatable lyrics reflecting life experiences both on stage and in the studio. Having a musical veteran father, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel, The Beach Boys) provided him with some amazing opportunities to be on stage at a very early age. Being on stage stimulated a desire to perform and seek out the adrenaline of live and studio performance. Eren is presently in the studio writing and recording songs for his next album, tentatively scheduled for an early 2010 release. His talent in the studio as a producer has not gone unnoticed either as Eren has recently finished work with P. Diddy’s “Making The Band” contestant Donnie Klang, and is currently producing tracks for debut albums by Timbaland protégés Amar and Jim Beanz (both were featured on Timbaland’s album, “Shock Value”.) Eren’s debut CD, “Blame It On The City” is available now on Brown Dog Records and is distributed through Nile Rodgers’ Sumthing Distribution. The CD was just released in the Pacific Rim by StarSearch Media Group, with distribution throughout Korea and China.
